IRISH COFFEE

IRISH COFFEE

This Classic Irish Coffee Drink Recipe it's sure to warm you up from the inside out.  It has just the right amount of coffee and whiskey.  

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsps. light brown sugar
  • 2 long shots of espresso
  • 1-1/2 ounces of whiskey

 

For the topping:

  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. of sugar
  • Ground Nutmeg
  • Green Sprinkles

Instructions:

Pour heavy cream and sugar in a small bowl.  Whip it lightly just until it starts to thicken but not too thick.  Set to the side.

Spoon light brown sugar in your mug.  Brew two long shots of espresso (2 ounces each). Pour the shots of coffee in mug and mix well.  Measure 1-1/2 ounces of your favorite whiskey and pour it in, give it a quick stir.  

Dollop on the whipped cream, and top off with a little bit of ground nutmeg.  You do not need much a little goes a long way.  For a little Irish whimsey, garnish with some green sprinkles.
